Motability, the charity, was set up in 1977. The Motability Scheme has helped over four million people and their families enjoy the freedom and independence which many take for granted.
What is ‘the Motability Scheme’?
In short, you can use you Disability Living Allowance to fund the lease of a brand new, specially adapted vehicle. Your insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover are all included in the price.

What adaptations are available on the Motability Scheme?
There are a wide range of vehicle adaptations available through Motability. See the link below. Many of these are available at JDHC. If you are unsure what adaptations you might need, you can phone us directly at JDHC and we will arrange a 1:1 meeting with Dan Doran (JDHC Director). You will be assessed and advised on the options available to you. You may also be able to view or even test drive a vehicle depending on the adaptation.
